Terms & Conditions Seattle Select Sewers — Last updated April 2026
Seattle Select Sewers, hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, provides residential and commercial sewer repair, maintenance, inspection, and related services in the Greater Seattle area.
By authorizing services from the Company, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions.
1. Service Estimates & Scope of Work
All proposed services are recommendations and may not represent the only options available to the customer. Prices quoted are valid only at the time of the service visit and are subject to change without notice.
If, for any reason, the person authorizing the work chooses not to proceed, or if the work is not completed, payment for all services performed and materials used up to that point is due immediately. Any additional work requested afterward will be charged separately.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon signing of the work authorization or immediately upon completion of services.
Accepted payment methods include:
- Cash
- Check
- Visa
- MasterCard
- Discover
- American Express
A minimum fee of $20 applies to returned checks.
Invoices outstanding for more than 60 days will accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month. If collection efforts require a collection agency or legal action, the customer agrees to pay all associated collection costs, court fees, and reasonable attorney’s fees.
3. Acceptance of Work & Claims
All labor and materials are deemed satisfactory unless the Company receives written notice within 7 days of job completion.
Any claim for property damage must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the occurrence. Claims submitted after this period are conclusively waived.
The Company’s liability for non-performance or malfeasance is limited strictly to the amounts paid for the services rendered.
4. Business Hours & After-Hours Service
Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
Services performed outside regular business hours are considered special business hours and are billed at higher rates.
5. Unforeseen Conditions After Work Begins
Due to the nature of sewer, drain, and underground pipe services, unforeseen conditions may arise once work has begun.
The customer acknowledges and accepts full financial responsibility for such conditions and understands that obligations for previously agreed-upon work remain in effect. The customer agrees to hold the Company, its heirs, and assigns harmless regarding these circumstances.
6. Components Declined for Repair or Replacement
If the customer declines repair or replacement of any sewer components, fittings, or fixtures, they acknowledge that any attempted repairs are not guaranteed or warranted.
Inspection or attempted repairs may result in the inability to reassemble the component. Any additional repairs or replacements required will be charged separately. The customer accepts full responsibility for all outcomes and costs and holds the Company harmless.
7. Sewer & Drain Clearing Services
All attempts to clear sewer or drain clogs — including hydro-jetting and mechanical clearing — are attempts only and are not guaranteed or warranted.
The customer accepts full responsibility for all outcomes and agrees to pay for services rendered regardless of results. The Company is held harmless regarding these services.
8. Sewer Camera Inspections & Locating
Sewer camera inspections provide a visual assessment of pipe conditions at the time of inspection. Results are limited to visible areas and do not constitute a guarantee of the overall condition of the sewer system.
The customer acknowledges that inspection findings are informational and that the Company is held harmless for any conditions not visible or discoverable during the inspection.
9. Trenchless Sewer Repair & Pipe Lining (CIPP)
Cure-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining and trenchless repairs are performed to extend the life of existing sewer lines. Results depend on the existing condition of the host pipe.
The Company does not guarantee outcomes where the host pipe condition is beyond the scope of lining repair. Any additional work required will be quoted and charged separately. The customer holds the Company harmless for pre-existing conditions.
10. Customer-Supplied Materials
Materials supplied by the customer are not guaranteed or warranted by the Company.
If customer-supplied materials are defective, the agreed installation fee remains due immediately. Any additional labor or services required will be billed separately. The customer holds the Company harmless in all such cases.
11. Excavation & Property Access
Some services, including sewer pipe replacements, septic-to-sewer conversions, and water line installations, may require excavation or access openings on the customer’s property.
The Company is not responsible for restoration of landscaping, concrete, pavement, drywall, or other surface materials unless explicitly included in the written estimate. The customer holds the Company harmless for any access-related disturbances.
12. Backflow Valve Installation
If a backflow prevention valve is installed, the customer understands it must be inspected and serviced regularly in accordance with local regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
Failure due to lack of maintenance releases the Company from all liability. Compliance with local municipal requirements is the customer’s responsibility.
13. Septic-to-Sewer Conversion
Septic-to-sewer conversion work is subject to local permitting and municipal requirements. The customer is responsible for ensuring all required permits are obtained unless permit coordination is explicitly included in the scope of work.
The Company is held harmless for delays or complications arising from municipal approvals or unforeseen site conditions.
14. Appliance & Equipment Diagnosis
The customer understands that equipment or components evaluated may not be repairable.
The agreed diagnostic or inspection fee is due regardless of outcome. The customer agrees to hold the Company harmless for any damage resulting from standard diagnostic or repair procedures.
